Black Ness Cottage is beautifully located within two acres of mature gardens surrounding most of the house. With extensive lawns, mature shrub borders and a plethera of planted pots, the setting is idyllic. There's also a large naturally-fed wildlife pond containing many water-loving plants which the rear of the house and both guest bedrooms overlook.
The gardens
Tony
and Judy have developed the garden over the last 20 years turning an overgrown
field site into what it is today - several hundred trees have been planted
during this time.
Judy grows plants all-year-round, preparing
for a large charity plant sale held each year in early May.
Our guests are welcome to
explore the gardens, or just relax on the terrace and soak up the atmosphere
with a welcoming cup of tea for late afternoon arrivals.
